Immigration Review – 1 year on

In this session, we will review the UK’s new immigration system one year on.  We will also look at what has changed in the world of business immigration over the past 12 months.  It is vital that businesses keep on top of these changes as the consequences of not complying with the immigration rules can be serious.

Much has happened since the new immigration system first launched in December 2020 – new routes have been introduced, the shortage occupation list was updated, and the EU Settlement Scheme closed, leading to revised guidance on right to work checks.  Concessions to the immigration rules, introduced to combat the effects of COVID-19, have also slowly fallen away. Many businesses will have become sponsor licence holders during this time to ensure that they can continue to recruit from outside the UK for skilled positions.

Over the course of this breakfast briefing, e will give an overview of these changes and what businesses should be doing to stay compliant. We will also explore what is on the horizon for the next 12 months.
