Capital acts for Coleg y Cymoedd in £1m dilapidations claim

What we did:

We acted on behalf of the College on a high value terminal dilapidations claim for £1m brought by its previous landlord. The dispute involved expert consideration of the diminution in value of the property and the statutory cap on damages. We also advised on detailed analysis of the alleged breach of contract and expert evidence on alleged items of dilapidations.

What happened:

Working with the College, we achieved a successful settlement – saving them the cost of going to court.
