Welsh tech company raises over £700,000 in crowd funding investment round

We Build Bots Ltd has received investment via the Seedrs platform and from the Development Bank of Wales, exceeding its initial target of £500,000.

What we did:

The Welsh tech business has raised capital to develop its global presence within the fast-growing AI, chatbot, and autonomous agent market, thanks to its smart chatbot, IntelAgent.

We Build Bots developed IntelAgent to improve customer services, by saving businesses and individuals hours of frustrating phone calls and automated customer channelling experiences. With 85% of customer interactions predicted to be automated by 2020, its offering is timely.

Capital Law acted for We Build Bots on the funding round, negotiating the key documentation with both Seedrs and the Development Bank of Wales.

What happened:

Paul Shepherd, founder and CEO, said, ‘to keep developing at the current rate, we needed significant investment. We initially set a target of raising £500,000 through Seedrs, but ended up raising over £700,000.’

‘Capital Law provided a pragmatic, commercial approach and a rapid turn-around, helping us to complete the investment in a matter of weeks. We’re hugely grateful for their support.’

Jordan Thomas, our Corporate solicitor who advised We Build Bots, said, ‘We Build Bots’ potential is clear from the interest and attention that it’s received. The fact that people have invested via Seedrs and that it has the backing of Development Bank of Wales highlights how appealing its proposition is. It’s at the cutting edge of AI, tech, and customer services – and is primed to make a huge impact.’
