Carrie Gwyther

Carrie started her training contract at Capital Law in October 2017.

Carrie completed a seat in the Corporate and Commercial department, during which she assisted on a number of investment deals and acquisitions including the investment into the classic car restoration company, Hemmels Limited and the management buy-out of Cardiff-based First Choice Accident Repair Limited.

Carrie is currently in the Employment and Immigration department and is assisting with both contentious and non-contentious work.

Prior to starting at Capital Law, Carrie undertook pro-bono work for the Welsh Rugby Union and advised on commercial property disputes. She also assisted in the writing of a chapter for the book ‘Great Christian Jurists in English History’, published by Cambridge University Press.

  • Part of the team acting for Hemmels’ management team on the recent multi-million pound investment from Mobeus, a leading equity investor in UK-based SMEs, which will allow Hemmels to accelerate its growth plans and build a global brand
  • Part of the team advising the Management team at First Choice Accident and Repair on their MBO of the business. This was a £2.1 million buy-out part financed by the Development Bank of Wales
