Gethin Bennett

Gethin is a Trainee Solicitor in our Corporate & Commercial team.

Gethin joined Capital as a Trainee Solicitor in the Employment & Immigration team in October 2017, and has since completed his second seat within the Commercial Disputes team.

During his time with Employment & Immigration, he assisted in many contentious and non-contentious matters and worked with both businesses and individuals. He assisted with various tribunal claims and their settlement, and advised on contracts, staff handbooks, settlement agreements and redundancies. Part of his role also involved preparing and delivering training and employment law updates.

As part of the Disputes team, Gethin advised on various commercial litigation matters including those relating to intellectual property, commercial contracts, public and regulatory law and company disputes.

Since October 2018, Gethin has been based in Llantrisant on secondment at The Royal Mint, assisting their in-house legal team with a wide range of commercial and legal matters.

Gethin is also part of the Welsh Law initiative at Capital and is actively involved in promoting awareness of devolution and its impact on business in Wales.

Prior to joining Capital, Gethin completed numerous work placements at other commercial firms, and partook in the WRU Pro Bono scheme at Cardiff University. Outside of work, he is a keen runner and has recently completed the Cardiff Half Marathon in aid of Mind UK.
