Lianne Hartley

Lianne is an Associate in our Construction, Energy and Projects team specialising in non-contentious construction contract preparation and development finance due diligence.

Lianne acts for a wide variety of both public and private sector clients including Councils, banks, specialist energy sector companies and sub-contractors.

Lianne advises on and prepares consultant appointments and amendments to various standard form contracts including JCT, NEC, the MF/1 form and the ICC Infrastructure Conditions of Contract (Ground Investigation) together with ancillary documentation including collateral warranties, novation agreements, bonds and parent company guarantees.

She acts for banks in due diligence reporting for residential and non-residential development project loans and more recently has been involved in the preparation of bespoke documents for a large collaborative project involving an innovative private sector energy client.

  • Acting for a major drinks manufacturer in negotiating an updated IET MF/1 contract for a clad-rack warehouse expansion at the client’s premises and an NEC4 PSSC form of contract with the client’s project management consultant.
  • Acting for an energy sector client specialising in zero carbon and sustainable energy solutions in preparing and negotiating bespoke collaboration and heads of terms documents with two social housing developers.
  • Advising a Council on a bespoke water supply agreement to their premises including consideration of easement and insurance issues.
  • Advising the Welsh Government on the M4 relief road project, including asset protection agreements and agreements relating to the relocation of infrastructure with statutory undertakers.
  • Advising a bank client on the proposed construction development documentation for a loan in relation to a self-build residential housing scheme including preparation of due diligence reports.
