Philip Barratt

Philip is a Senior Associate in the Corporate team. He advises on corporate transactions, focusing on private equity transactions, venture / growth capital investments, and private company mergers and acquisitions.

He advises investors and private equity houses in their investments and portfolio management, as well as supporting management teams. He has advised entrepreneurs and owner-managed businesses through to large listed companies, working on both the buy-side and the sell-side, cross-border and UK transactions, as well as advising on joint ventures and shareholder arrangements.

Philip has also been on secondment at AnaCap Financial Partners, a private equity fund, and CDC Group plc, the UK government’s development finance institution.

Philip was shortlisted for Young Dealmaker of the Year 2016 and 2018 at the Insider Wales Dealmakers Awards, highlighted as one of 30 ‘young lawyers and accountants to watch’ in 2017, and described as “one of Wales’ top up-and-coming M&A / private equity lawyers”.
